Degree programs and Auditions

Auditions for admission to The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY

Auditions are held November-March on campus at The Massry Center for the Arts.

Applied Lessons

Applied Lessons: Each student will receive one 50-minute private lesson per week. Etudes, solo repertoire, technical exercises and orchestral excerpts are studied and performed. In addition, students attend a weekly Flute Repertoire Class for performances, group study of technique and excerpts and discussions/presentations of various topics relating to flute pedagogy and performance.

Performing opportunities (many ensemble open to non-music majors who wish to continue performing):
