Saint Rose Flute choir


The College of Saint Rose Flute Choir was founded by Dr. Yvonne Chavez Hansbrough fall of 1999, with five members. That first semester the new ensemble performed in a master class for Flute Force at Skidmore College at the Skidmore Flute Festival. The ensemble has grown to a membership of 16 students and continues performances at The Skidmore Flute Festival and at The College of Saint Rose.

The ensemble explores music from all styles from the Renaissance to modern eras. Repertoire includes piccolos, flutes, alto flutes and bass flute in trios, quartets and large flutes choirs. 

The Saint Rose Flute Ensemble is open to both music majors and non-music majors.  The ensemble meets for rehearsals on Mondays at 3:40-4:30 4PM on Mondays and Fridays in Room 304 of the Massry Center for the Arts.   You must register for Chamber Music Flute: MUS 283 section 01 or 02.   Non-music majors, please contact me for more information: [email protected]
